Church celebrates paying off debt early

Aurora Bible Church, located at 550 N. Hwy. 39, Aurora, is planning a special church anniversary celebration for Sunday, Oct. 25.

The church was formed Oct. 31, 1977, and will celebrate its 43rd year as a church body with a mortgage burning. With the blessings of God and faithful members, the church body has paid off the mortgage on the building and property three years early.

There will be a normal worship service at 10:45 a.m. with special musical guests Bob and Alta Courtney of Redneck Revival. At 2 p.m., there will be a celebration with music from Bob and Alta Courtney and Sanctified Gospel Music from Marionville. Events include sharing testimony, praise, food, and a burning of the mortgage.

Pastor Rick Abney and the church body cordially invite those that have been a part of the Aurora Bible Church family building, serving, or offering support over the years. The event is open to the public.
