Burnside students host summer recital

The piano students of Ruth Burnside hosted a summer recital on July 12 at Countryside Christian Church in Monett. Burnside opened the performance with “Jesu, Joy of Mans’ Desiring,” and “Pretty Paper.”
Student performances included Sierra Cheatham, “Fuzzy Wuzzy Worm,” a duet with Burnside; Connie Lee, “Happy Heart,”; Helen Wormington, “Jolly Old St. Nicholas,”; Kaleb Bergeron, “O, Give Thanks to the Lord,” and “How Great Thou Art,” duets with Burnside; Elijah Maples, “Old McDonald,”; Heidi Sehrbrock, “Blue Parrot Rag,” a duet with Burnside, and “Clare DeLune,”; Quinn Bergeron, “King of the Jungle,” a duet with Burnside; and Zeke Maples, “The Entertainer.”
Certificates and trophies were awarded.
