Monett schools daycare wraps emergency workers service

May 30 was the last day for the daycare service offered free by the Monett school district for healthcare workers and emergency responders. The service was offered at the school districtís daycare facility on the southeast corner of the Monett Elementary School campus. On the final day, staff provided a cookout for students, parents, maintenance workers and staff who helped keep the community running during the pandemic shutdown. David Williams, who oversaw the daycare and the after-school Cub House, reported as summer school begins on June 1, a special Cub House program became available for families of the school district.
