Verona grads gather for breakfast, celebration

The breakfast for the 22 seniors at Verona High School was held on Friday morning in the school cafeteria, spaced for social distancing with separate tables for each family. The breakfast for the 22 seniors at Verona High School was held on Friday morning in the school cafeteria, spaced for social distancing with separate tables for each family.

Priscilla Martinez, whose brother, Leo, will graduate with the Verona High School class of 2020, walked by the display of photos at the senior breakfast. Seniors were asked to bring their caps and gowns to the breakfast for photos inside the school, which may not otherwise be available with an outdoor graduation planned for June 19. Teacher Crista Witt, the senior class co-sponsor with Eric Mooneyham, addressed the graduates and their families at the Verona High School Senior Breakfast on Friday. The occasion was used to award honors for the year and announce scholarships. Murray Bishoff/times-news@monett-times.com
