Truman University releases list of fall honor roll students

Truman State University has released its academic honor rolls for the fall 2019 semester. Brittain Cooper, of Monett, was named to the Presidents Honor Roll having achieved a 4.0 grade point average. Students earning a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average were listed on the honor roll. They include: Abby Kranz, of Monett; Lauren Seifried, of Aurora; and Alexa Day, of Mt. Vernon.

Simpson named to NEOís Deanís List

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) has Paige Simpson, of Marionville, to Deanís Honor Roll for the fall semester of the 2020 academic year. To qualify for the Deanís List, a student must carry a minimum of twelve credit-bearing hours and maintain a 3.5 grade point average.

Gollhofer named to Central Oklahoma Dean's Honor Roll

Monett resident Gabrielle Gollhofer has been named to the Dean's Honor Roll for the fall semester at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Qualifying students earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Scholarships, Dean's List announced by Culver-Stockton College

Two bi-county students have received scholarships at Culver-Stockton College in Canton.

Juan Cavazos, a senior at Monett High School, was awarded the Promise Scholarship, a $6,000 per year scholarship for four years. Christine Cordova, a senior at Aurora High School, was awarded the Hilltop Scholarship, a $10,000 per year scholarship for four years.

These scholarships are awarded based upon academic credentials and are renewable provided the student remains in good academic standing.

William Daingerfield of Monett, who has not declared a major, and Bryce Turnbough of Everton, a physical education major, were named to the Culver-Stockton Dean's List for the fall semester.

Culver-Stockton College is a four-year residential institution in affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), specializing in experiential education.

Graduates from Central Methodist University

Matthew Anderson of Mt. Vernon and Shannon Mitchell of Seligman were December graduates from Central Methodist University in Fayette. Anderson received a master of science in mathematics degree. Mitchell received a bachelor of science education in middle school science.

Baylor University names Lee to Dean's Honor Roll

Madison Rose Lee, a student in the College of Arts and Sciences at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, has been named to the Dean's Academic Honor Roll for the fall semester. To qualify, Lee had to achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.7 out of a 4.0 scale on a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Glover named to State Technical College Dean's List

Levi Glover of Mt. Vernon has been named to the Dean's List at State Technical College of Missouri in Linn for the fall semester. Glover had to earn a grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0 to achieve the recognition.

Two Lawrence County students on Central Missouri University Dean's List

Emma Freitas of Aurora and Natalie Bekemeier of Mt. Vernon were named to the Dean's List for the fall semester at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Both earned a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.99 to achieve the recognition.
