Group co-founder moving to Texas to be nearer to family

A farewell luncheon for Maryal Hunt was hosted this week by the Monday Bridge Club, a co-founder of the club with Maura Sparks, in the community room of the Pierce City branch of the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library.

Hunt and her husband, Terry, are relocating to Tyler, Texas to live closer to their daughters and families. For eight years she coached dozens of men and women in the basics of bridge.

The group made plans to stay in touch with the Hunts.

The bridge club is open to anyone, meeting from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Pierce City library.
