Patience paid off for First State Bank of Purdy, organizers of the First on Front concert series, on Friday. Determined not to let rainy weather spoil the last concert of the season, planners went forward despite rain, which ended after the first hour. By the time the Black Moods took the stage at 8:45 p.m., the crowd had more than doubled its size, the sky had cleared, and the band played on until after 10 p.m. Murray Bishoff/times-news@monett-times.com
