Character education medals focusing on acceptance have been awarded at Prudy Elementary School. In partnership with counselor Gary Jurgensen, teachers kindergarten through sixth grade teachers present a different character trait each month. Each grade level teacher nominates one student from his/her class who best exemplifies the trait presented. Principal Julie Dalton presents these children with a special medal and hosts a special celebration, featuring snacks, games and fun activities. Younger students recognized front row from left, are: kindergarteners Camilla Farjat and Laura Paxtor and first grader Nadalie Kukovich. Second row: first grader Brinlee Vineyard, kindergartener Ella Yates and first grader Raylan Grant. Back row: second graders Alison Logan and Walter Welch. Contributed photo
