Monett Firefighters Local No. 2001 partnered with First State Bank of Purdy to raise money in October for Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. Firemen came to the Monett branch on Cleveland each Friday with Fire Pup to visit with children and collect donations. The bank had pink boots out all month to accept gifts. The effort culminated this week with the presentation of a check for $1,800 to the BCFO. Allyson Tuckness, BCFO director of community engagement, said that would pay for mammograms for 180 women.
