George Daoud: National Night Out

Saturday, August 11, 2018

On behalf of the Monett Police Department I would like to thank you for your support of National Night Out. We estimate over 1,000 people were in attendance of our 2nd Annual National Night Out event. We appreciate everyone who assisted with putting together this event greatly appreciate your participation in our annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. The Monett Police Department, Monett Fire Department, Barry-Lawrence Ambulance, Clark Center, Monett Children’s Advocacy Center, Missouri Department of Conservation, Lions Club, Jay Hatfield Ford, Cox Monett Hospital, and First State Bank represented community resources available at the new City of Monett downtown Events Pavilion.

The Monett Police Department took the opportunity to introduce its newest member of the department Officer Sheyenne to the public through one of his many talents by providing live music during the event. It was great to see the positive interactions between the Monett Police Department and the community it serves. During these trying times across the country it is positive community support and interaction like this that give us hope and the drive to go forward to do our job for the citizens of this community who deserve the best service we can provide. The continued support we are receiving from the community is one of the reasons that I believe Monett is the one of the best cities in Southwest Missouri. It is with Pride and Progress that we will continue serve this community.
