Dorothy Badger to celebrate 95 years

An Open House will be held in honor Dorothy Badger's 95th birthday will be held on July 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Monett Historical Museum Event Center, 418 E. Broadway, with family and friends invited.


Dorothy Inez Badger was born on July 23, 1923, in Monett, to Walter and Flora Eubanks. She married Jim Badger on August 15, 1946. It was the first marriage ever performed at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Monett. The couple had one son, Ron Badger, who resides in California.

Dorothy taught at area schools for 28 years, and served as church treasurer and pianist at Ebenezer Baptist Church for many years. The Badgers traveled with Campers on Missions for over 20 years, working at youth camps.
