80th birthday party, retirement reception for David Honeycutt

A retirement reception and 80th birthday party for Dr. David Honeycutt will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 29, at the Monett Museum's Events Center, 418 E. Broadway.

A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, Honeycutt began practicing dentistry in Monett in 1971. He has served as staff dentist at St. Vincent's and Cox Monett Hospital since 1972. He has served on the Monett Kiwanis Club's board for 30 years, including duties as treasurer. He served three terms on the Monett R-1 Board of Education, including a stint as board president, and was a past director of the Monett Chamber of Commerce.

He and his wife, Lou Ellen, have three children: Brad, an electrical engineer with Jacobs Engineering in Appleton, Wisc.; Diane Inman, a customer service team member with 3D Corporate Solutions; and Rustin, director of high school bands in Troy, Texas.

Friends, family and former patients and staff are invited to stop by the reception for a visit, birthday cake and snacks. No reservations are necessary. The omission of gifts is requested, but cards are welcome.
