For their year-end project, third and fourth graders under teacher Shanna Jelinek at Trinity Lutheran School in Freistatt made 3-D renderings of states in the U.S., marking cities and major features, researching and writing a report, then presenting it to the class. Parents may have helped with supplies, providing a baked structure for the state, or an outline in wood or metal. Pictured with their creations, from left, are: Caiden Haworth with Arkansas, Kordel McBalir with Oklahoma, River Enlow with Texas, Noah Carr with Illinois, Colton Kleiboeker with New York, Keenan Kleiboeker with Iowa, Bethany Clayton with Hawaii (complete with volcanos), Noah Creed with Florida, August Black with Alabama and Katelynn Hanson with Kansas. Not pictured were Joshua Heseman with Virginia and Elizabeth Sharp with Tennessee. Murray Bishoff/times-news@monett-times.com
