Barry County Commission to discuss regional transportation needs

Friday, June 1, 2018

The Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG) is contracted with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) to facilitate a regional Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC). Each year, the TAC prioritizes transportation needs on the state system within the region. This prioritization process enables the state to be better prepared for transportation funds that become available.

Council staff is in the process of meeting with county representatives across the region to discuss needs. A meeting has been set with the Barry County Commission on Monday, June 4, at 9 a.m. at the Barry County Courthouse in Cassville. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

A list of upcoming meetings in other counties and a region-wide priority list can be found online at www.smcog.org/transportation.
