Pierce City students study Supreme Court case

Pierce City High school students studying government under high school instructor Crystal Charles recently presented information on a case currently under consideration by United States Supreme Court justices. The case, involving two men trying to order a wedding cake to celebrate their union. The owner refused, citing his religious beliefs. The couple sued for discrimination. Students, from left, Jack Burt, Ali Raley and Emily Drollinger, presented information for both sides of the case, and a brief synopsis on how the justices have aligned on previous cases concerning business owners upholding their religious beliefs over the individual rights of their customers or employees.
