LMWL convention delegates named

President Doris Meyer called the February meeting of the Freistatt Trinity Lutheran LWML Ladies Aid to order, welcoming 16 members and one guest, Karen Schmedeke.
Gloria Krueger, secretary, read the January minutes and Connie Prater, treasurer, delivered the financial statement. Correspondance was also read.
In committee reports, the Mission Workday was held Monday Jan. 22 in the Fellowship Hall. Mike Harmon set up the work tables earlier. Helping assemble and tack the quilts were: Gloria Krueger, Evelyn Bracht, Darlene Lampe, Edith Harmon, Lena Bremer, Judy Krueger, Thelma Barnes, Cheryl Brown, Barbara Steinberg, Marge Harris and Karen Kleiboeker. Five baby size quilts and three large quilts were completed. Cheryl and Walter Brown offered to take Thrivent t-shirts and quilts to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, St. Louis to the Rev. Gary Lampe mission in mid-February. Items were boxed and bagged for delivery. Four quilts were given to a family who had a fire. A Thrivent Team Action card has been approved for purchasing batting, backing and other needed supplies for quilts. The next Mission Committee workday was scheduled for Feb. 26, in the Fellowship Hall.
A motion was made and seconded that The World Relief Baby Shower would be held Feb. 18 and Feb. 25. Kleiboeker submitted a list of needed items in Parish Caller.
Members sang the birthday song to Nadine Oberman, Kleiboeker and Ruth Nelson.
Sawyer wanted to thank whoever brought a large amount of Best Choice UPC codes and stamps to the LWML box in church.
In new business, Meyer asked if anyone had thought of going to the LWML Missouri District Convention. A motion was made, seconded and passed, that Cheryl Brown and Sawyer go as delegates to attend the LWML Missouri District Convention at the Lodge of the Four Seasons, Lake of the Ozark, from June 8-10, and Kleiboeker to serve as the alternate.
February visitor was Edith Harmon.
The LWML Prayer Service, "Living as God's People," was given by Prater and Harmon.
Meyer thanked the hostesses Judy Krueger and Darlene Lampe.
The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer.
