Jule Lynn Egleston, 66, of Monett, Mo., passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at her home from complications of pancreatic cancer.
Jule was born Dec. 9, 1951, the daughter of John and Neva (Justice) Harrison of Springfield, Mo.
Growing up, she spent joyful weekends and summers in Forsyth, Mo., where she loved water sports and good friends. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1969 in Springfield, Mo., and attended Drury University.
Jule lived much of her adult life in Grandview, Mo., where she worked for 26 years as the Director of Finance and Computer Operations for King Louie International. While there, she took additional courses at Avila College. At the time of her illness Jule was Business Manager for the The Monett Times and the Cassville Democrat.
Jule loved family and adventure. She caught lunker trout in Canada, snorkeled in the Caribbean, cruised to Alaska, and saw much of the United States as well as other countries. She was a people person whose trademark smile and contagious laugh won friends wherever she went. She was smart, quick witted, outgoing, and easy to know.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Neva Harrison.
Jule is survived by: one son, Jon Egleston; granddaughter, Alexis and her mother, Sarah Egleston; brother, David Harrison and his wife Sandy; niece, Robin Williams and husband Tim; nephew, Jeff Harrison and wife Jennifer; and two great-nephews, Kris and Tyler Williams.
A celebration of Jule’s life will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jule Egleston fund at Community National Bank, 901 E. Highway 60, Monett, MO 65708.
