Red Cross holds blood drive
47 contribute the 'Gift of Life' at Community Church
A total of 47 donors contributed to the American Red Cross blood drive held on Dec. 31 at the Monett Community Church.
The Red Cross gave donors a blanket. The church provided gumbo, soup and chili for all donors. Schreiber Foods donated cheese and Price Cutter Supermarket provided soda pop as refreshments for donors.
Achieving gallon milestones during the drive were Mark Nelson at five gallons, Marilyn Bell at 14, Carol Brown at 15 and Jeff Gates at 18.

The next blood drive will be on Feb. 19 at the Church of Christ in Monett.
