Leather artist shares craft with Mt. Vernon Rotary

“If you can draw it, I can make it” said Dean Woody from Rockin’ D Leather in Mt. Vernon, reporting on his craft to the Mt. Vernon Rotary Club. Woody is pictured showing a custom leather boot with a hand drawn pattern sewn into the boot one stitch at a time. Woody offered sample of shark, wildebeest, elephant and ostrich boots. “While we do repairs, make holsters, leather suspenders, my first love is boots,” he said. “That’s what got me into the custom leather business.” More information is available on the company’s Facebook page.
