Cubs rack up 5 pins in 60-15 victory

The Monett wrestling team puts its 1-0 record on the line when it heads to a triangular with Webb City and Diamond on Thursday.

The Cubs opened the season with a 60-15 victory over Branson on Thursday and racked up five pins in the process.

“I am pleased with our start of the 2017-2018 season,” said Daryl Bradley, Monett coach. “We made weight for the first time and competed well. I feel that we were the more aggressive team tonight and it showed. We took the action to them and it produced good results. It showed us where we need to move forward. I’m very proud of our young team and how they performed.”
