Aurora man airlifted from wreck
Vehicle fails to yield at stop sign, hits trailer
An Aurora man was airlifted from a wreck at 3 p.m. Friday on Farm Road 1100, two miles southeast of Monett.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Austin McCann, 29, of Aurora, was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse southbound when an eastbound 2015 Chevrolet 2500, being driven by Lukes Dickens, 28, of Galena pulled from a stop sign and failed to yield, causing McCann's vehicle to strike a trailer being towed by the pickup.
McCann suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Dickens was not injured.
McCann was wearing a safety device, and Dickens was not. The Mitsubishi was totaled, and the Chevrolet sustained no damage.
