Veteranís Day program planned at Maple Park Cemetery

David Sater to speak at Veteran's Memorial in Aurora

The annual Veteran's Memorial Park Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora.

The ceremony will include a presentation of flags by Tom Wolfe Memorial Post No. 4207, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Monett, as well as bagpipe playing by Joel Wren from Boy Scout Troop No. 48 in Aurora. Kaye Kahre will sing the National Anthem.

Representatives of Arrowood-Byers-Cummings American Legion Post No. 126 in Aurora. Chapter No. 1023 of Vietnam Veterans of Barry County will also participate.

State Senator David Sater (R-Cassville) will give the address.

A rifle salute will be provided by the Monett VFW Post, followed by Taps.

Donations made will go toward the upkeep of the veteran's memorial at the cemetery
