Ida Alene Brockert, 80, passed away Oct. 2, at Lacoba Homes in Monett. Ida was born May 3, 1937, in Urbana, the daughter of George and Ruhie Nolan Sutton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters and one grandson.
She is survived by her sister, Ada Moore, of Monett; one son, Clayton Crowley, of Monett; her daughter, Marie Thorson, and husband, Bill, of Monett; three granddaughters, Chasity Stumph, of Monett, Valerie Ramirez, of Webb City, and Melissa Stumph, of Cassville; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ida spent her life as a homemaker, home health care worker and pioneering her faith. Ida was a devout Jehovah’s Witness. Ida enjoyed gardening, crocheting, spending time with her family, and her faith. She was a beautiful lady who will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 14 at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Monett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lacoba Nursing Home in Ida’s memory.
