Purdy FFA holds annual Barnwarming

The Purdy FFA and Alumni Chapters will hold their annual FFA Barnwarming and Chili Cook-Off at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, in the Purdy Elementary gym. Admission is $5 per person, for all-you-can-eat mild, hot or knock-your-socks-off hot chili, delicious desserts and ice cream. Awards will be given for best overall chili, best ice cream and best apple pie. The FFA Barnwarming games and royalty coronation will begin at 7 p.m. This year’s freshman candidates are Kinsley Mattingly and Clay Henderson. She is the daughter of Jim and Rhonda Mattingly. He is the son of Jay and Shelley Henderson. Sophomore candidates are Shelby Haskins and Andrew Martinez. She is the daughter of David and Karen Haskins. He is the son of Yadira Martinez and Rich Hert. The junior class will be represented by Shelby Heston and Mason Schallert. She is the daughter of Ken and Sue Heston. He is the son of Todd and Tracy Schallert. Senior royalty candidates are Savannah Bradt and Kyle Billingsley. She is the daughter of Ladena and Michael Michaud. He is the son of Terry and Erin Billingsley. The candidates are pictured from left to right, from bottom: Bradt, Henderson, Martinez, Schallert, Heston and Mattingly.
