Legion, Scouts retire 180 flags in ceremony

Hobbs-Anderson American Legion Post No. 91, with assistance from Boy Scout Troop No. 38, retired 180 U.S. flags in a retirement ceremony at Monett’s South Park on Tuesday. Scouts Jack Goodman, Turner Goodson, Merle Nunn, Jordan Butler, Juan Cruz and Kody Worm respectfully placed flags on the retirement fire. The Legion Post hosts two flag retirement ceremonies a year.
