The Purdy FFA horse judging team competed in the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Junior World Show judging contest in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Aug. 6 and 7. During the two-day experience the team judged four halter and six performance classes and, according to member Mason Schallert, learned how to judge horses at a high quality level. Senior member Adam Humphrey noted of the event, “The show was a great experience and will benefit our team greatly in future contests.” Purdy FFA horse judging team members, from left, are: Adam Humphrey, Hunter Thomas, Randy Schad and Mason Schallert.
