Stanley Mark Hoffman, 78, of Purdy, Missouri, went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Tuesday, July 12, 2017, while at his home in Purdy. He was born on January 5, 1939, in Overbrook, Kansas, the son of the late Delbert (D.J.) and Bertha (Eno) Hoffman. He was united in marriage on October 30, 1964, in Purdy, Missouri, to Shirley Janice Hemphill; she preceded him in death on August 18, 2010.
He was a retired machinist, a veteran of the United States Army, member of the Arnhart Baptist Church in Purdy, Missouri, as well as a member of the 7 Valley Breakers.
Stanley is survived by: two sons, Jonathan Hoffman of Purdy and Joe Hoffman and his wife Lisa also of Purdy; two daughters, Jana Bible of Monett and JoAnna Rueda and her husband Tim of Lowell, Arkansas; and six grandchildren, Ashley, Katelyn, L.B., Elizabeth, Anna, and Jaylee.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, D.J. and Bertha; his loving wife Shirley; one son, James Hoffman in 1977; one sister, Dorothy Chadd, and one grandson, Bobby.
Visitation for Stanley is being held on Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett, Missouri.
Funeral services are being held on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri, with Rev. Lawrence Shuey officiating. Burial will follow services at the Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy, Missouri.
Memorial donations for Stanley may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Lupus Foundation of America.
