Caraway attends Congress of Future Medical leaders

The granddaughter of a Monett couple has attended the Congress of Future Medical Leaders as a delegate.

Hannah Caraway, daughter of Jason and Autumn Dawn (Willoughby) Caraway of Shiloh, Ill., and the granddaughter of Garry and Martha Willoughby of Monett and the late Bill Caraway, was selected to the program. A junior at O'Fallon Township High School in Shiloh, Ill., Caraway was selected as someone interested in working in medical research fields upon graduating college.

Caraway joined other delegates June 25-27 in Boston, Mass., for the Congress, sponsored by Harvard University. Participants heard lectures from Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Sciences winners discussing their experience in the medical field. Other speakers described "medical miracles" and advances in the field of medicine.

Caraway was nominated by Dr. Robert Darling, medical director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists.
