Bailey-Funk family holds 48th reunion
Gathering at City Park Casino draws 48 people
The 48th annual Bailey-Funk reunion gathered 49 family members and friends on June 11 at the Monett City Park Casino.
Gathering began at noon to socialize, followed by a basket dinner at 1 p.m. Those in attendance gathered in a circle, held hands and told of their relationship to Charles and Little Funk Bailey. Pictures were taken of each family.
During the business meeting after the during, those attending decided to hold the 2018 reunion again at the Casino. Letters and emails were read by those not in attendance, some dealing with health issues. A moment of silence was held in honor of those who had died in the past year.
A "Memories Story Time" followed. Amusing anecdotes about the speakers and other family members provided entertainment.
Greg and Sherri Ragland announced they brought extra hummingbird nectar for all who were interested.
