Burnside students hold annual Piano 88ís Festival

18 play pieces at Countryside Christian Church

Piano students of Monett teacher Ruth Burnside held their 16th annual Piano 88ís Music Festival on March 25 at the Countryside Christian Church in Monett.

Participating students were Jerimiah Hall, Kuper Eden, Christian Renkoski, Jeidi Sehrbock, Sierra Cheatham, Karsen Rhea, Ely Key, Tatum Burt, Carson Burt, Oliver Bowman, Lisa Lee, Connie Lee, Mallie Clifton, Kenzie Robbins, Myka Masters, Donovan Thomas, Avery Thomas and Zoe LaCaze.

Mallie Clifton was deemed the best overall in performance. Sierra Cheatham, Heidi Sehrbrock, Ely Key, Lisa Lee and Connie Lee were recognized as outstanding in their category.

Judah Hutchcraft from Carterville, Burnsideís great grandson, served as adjudicator. All students received either a superior or an excellent rating and a trophy and certificate.

Vikki Branum served as hostess for the event.
