Lady Cubs positioning for title
2nd place finish viewed positively
The Monett girls track team invades Cassville on Thursday in hopes of securing its third top-two finish of the season.
The Lady Cubs are fresh off of a second place achievement at East Newton, where they finished just four points behind the host school.
We competed well at this track meet, but I know we were sore and tired from the Nixa meet on Tuesday, said Kelly George, Monett track coach. We just missed scoring in a couple of events which would have helped our team score. I am proud of the effort the girls give day after day and cant wait to see how we finish the season.
