Purdy Elementary School has announced character medal winners for March, recognizing perseverance. In partnership with elementary counselor Gary Jurgensen, Purdy’s kindergarten through fourth grade teachers present a different character trait each month. One student from each class who best exemplifies the trait receives a character medal at a special assembly that features a comedy skit starring Coach Joshua Hughes, as “Joshie,” teacher Charlotte McGuirk, as “Charlie” and music teacher Christina Harmon, as “Chrissy.” This month’s skit also featured Mary Fenske as Joshie’s dance teacher.
