Mt. Vernon college student wins advertising honor

Matthew Freeland, a senior graphic design student at Bob Jones University, was recently awarded by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Greenville at the annual AAF Gala Saturday, Feb. 18.

Freeland, a resident of Mount Vernon, won the AAF Silver award in Publication Design for his book cover design. The American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDYs, is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local Ad Club phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition.
