Pride drill, Queen's 'We Are the Champions' mark parade

Fans of the Monett football team showed up on Broadway in droves Saturday afternoon to welcome home the Cubs after they defeated Maryville 27-18 to bring home the school's first state title since 1977.

After being escorted by fire trucks down Broadway, the players trekked to 4th Street and did their final signature Pride Drill of the season for the assembled crowd.

From there, the players walked down Broadway to the Monett Chamber officer, where the Booster Club had set up to give the team free burgers and hot dogs.
