Cow and Bull Auction 6/08/16

Receipts:  602    Last Week:  740    Last Year:  519

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher with
instances 4.00-5.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 2.00-3.00 higher on a
light supply. The offering included a moderate supply of bred cows and a
light supply of cow/calf pairs. Supply was moderate and demand very good
for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 940-1365 lbs 1150.00-1575.00, 1st stage 1200 lb indiv. 1060.00; short
and solid mouth to aged most 2nd few 3rd stage 1080-1360 lbs 885.00-1060.00.
Large 1-2  4-7 yrs 2nd and 3rd stage 1400-1575 lbs 1210.00-1500.00. Medium 1-2
2-6 yrs 2nd and 3rd stage 850-1050 lbs 900.00-1160.00; broken mouth to aged 2nd
and 3rd stage 875-1050 lbs 700.00-875.00 per head.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  2-6 yrs 1000-1360 lb cows w/babies to
375 lb calves and a few rebred 1575.00-1900.00; short and solid mouth to aged
1100-1225 lb cows w/165-210 lb calves 1300.00-1385.00. Medium and Large 2  4 yr
800 lb cow w/170 lb calf 1200.00; aged 1000 lb cow w/135 lb calf 1125.00. Medium
1-2  2-6 yrs 785-925 lb cows w/155-300 lb calves 1450.00-1600.00; broken mouth
to aged 1035-1050 lb cows w/babies to 280 lb calves 1050.00-1175.00 per pair.
