Cow and Bull Auction 12/16/15

Receipts:  807    Last Week:  970    Last Year:  1004

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 3.00-5.00 lower and
slaughter bulls sold 3.00-6.00 lower. The offering included a moderate
supply of bred cows and a light supply of cow/calf pairs. Supply and
demand were moderate for slaughter classes.
Note: The next regular cow and bull auction will be January 6, 2016.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1000-1360 lbs most 1275.00-1700.00, few fancy black and black white-
face 1800.00-2100.00, 1st stage 1080-1275 lbs 925.00-1325.00; short and solid
mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1100-1365 lbs 900.00-1200.00. Large 1-2  5 yrs
to short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 1400-1600 lbs 1425.00-1700.00; broken
mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1450-1510 lbs 1100.00-1250.00. Medium and Large
2  6 yr 2nd stage 1275 lb indiv. 975.00. Medium 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid
mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 900-1050 lbs 850.00-900.00, 1st stage 1040 lb indiv.

lb calves and a few rebred 1400.00-1700.00; aged 1285 lb cow w/210 lb calf
1200.00. Medium 1-2  4 yr 855 lb cow w/250 lb calf 1400.00; short and solid
mouth 1025 lb cow w/baby calf 1050.00 per pair.
