Golden quartet allegedly caught with 50 grams of meth
Official charges have been filed and bonds have been set for the four people arrested at a home on Kestrel Court in Golden on Monday after deputies executed a search warrant that turned up more than 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
According to the Barry County Sheriff's Office, those arrested include: Tara Jo Beck, 35, Jerry Beck, 41, Benjamin Widhalm, 43, and Linda Dissette, 62.
Tara Beck has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a class B felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class C felony. Her bond has been set at $20,000. Mick Epperly, Barry County sheriff, said she is also expected to be charges with child abuse.
Jerry Beck, Widhalm and Dissette are expected to be charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, class B felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, class C felonies.
Beck has a bond of $20,125.50, Widhalm has a bond of $20,500 and Dissette has a bond of $20,300.
According to the office, Deputy Bill Watkins was asked to respond to the home at about 11 a.m. with a Division of Family Services caseworker, who was responding to a call from the school about suspected child abuse.
Upon arrival, Watkins entered the home and met with the four, and the homeowner allegedly consented to a search that revealed more than 50 grams of suspected meth, as well as multiple syringes and other drug paraphernalia.
Tara Beck also allegedly admitted to hitting a 12-year-old living at the home.
All four are being held in the Barry County jail.
