The Monett Chamber of Commerce will consider where should Monett be in three years and how can the Chamber lead to that goal in a meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the Chamber office, 200 E. Broadway. The public is welcome to provide input.

The Pierce City Senior Center, 104 Locust St., will host a dance at 7 p.m. on thursday, Oct. 23 featuring the Fun Timers Band. Admission is $3.

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20 at the First Christian Church, 603 Fourth St. in Monett.

The Lawrence County Health Department will hold adult seasonal flu clinics from 8 a.m. to noon on Oct. 17 at the Aurora Chamber of Commerce, 121 E. Olive; and from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct 24 at Town and Country Supermarket, 110 N. Elm in Pierce City. Children's vaccines are available daily at the Health Department office at 105 W. North St. in Mt. Vernon.

The Ladies Auxiliary for Tom Wolfe Memorial Post No. 4207, VFW, will host a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15. the menu will include: chili with all the fixings, baked potato, salad, dessert and beverage. Cost is $6.50.

Hobbs-Anderson American Legion Post No. 91 will hold a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the Post, 717 E. Broadway. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.. Carry-outs will be available.

The Mt. Vernon Community Theatre presents "12 Angry Men" at 8 p.m. Oct. 24 and 25 and 3 p.m. Oct. 26 a the MARC, 822 W. Mt. Vernon Blvd.

St. Lawrence Catholic Home and School organization is selling fall mums for $9 a pot in a variety of colors. The church is located at 405 Seventh St. in Monett.

The Barry-Lawrence Ambulance District board will meet at 6 p.m. today at 307 Dairy St. in Monett.

The Monett/Purdy affiliate of Habitat for Humanity board will meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at the First Christian Church, Fourth and Wishart in Monett.

A "Jogging for Jesus" 5K run and one-mile walk will b held to benefit St. Lawrence Catholic School at 2 p.m. on Dec. 13, starting from the Parish hall at 405 Seventh St. Registration is $20 in advance, $25 after Dec. 1. Advance registration, available at the church, includes a T-shirt.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church will hold the 120th anniversary of the church's founding at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19. Special activities are planned for the event.

Crowder College in Neosho will present the play "The Rainmaker" at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 and 24 and 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 at the Elise Plaster Community Center.

The Scott Regional Technology Center will offer an Introduction to Microsoft Excel class, beginning Oct. 16, a five-week class on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Additional information is available by calling 235-7022.

Barry County Retired School Personnel will meet at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 at the Scott Regional Technology Center. Cost for lunch is $8. Pre-registration with Jeanne Ann Camp is due by Oct. 13.

The Ozark Festival Orchestra opens its season with a musical "Around the World" trip at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 at the Monett Elementary School, 601 Learning Lane.

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 24 at Pierce City High School.

Victory Baptist Church, 5059 Highway W in Ozark, will host a free fish fry following by a gospel sing at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct 18 at the church.
