Springfield, MO- Livestock Marketing Center: Cow and Bull Auction 12/09/2013

Wednesday, December 11, 2013

Receipts: 253 Last Week: 645 Last Year: 485

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher and slaughter
bulls sold steady to 1.00 higher on a very light supply. Snow and ice covered
secondary roads, and frozen conditions around barn lots reduced receipts. The
supply of bred cows and cow/calf pairs was light but quality was good on those
traded. Supply was light and demand good for slaughter classes.
