Receipts:  656    Last Week:  715    Last Year:  1075

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold steady and slaughter bulls
sold steady to 1.00 higher. The offering included a moderate supply of bred
cows but just a few scattered cow/calf pairs. Demand was elevated for any and
all bred cows that appeared to be structurally sound. Supply and demand were
moderate for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1075-1350 lbs most 1200.00-1500.00, several pkgs. more attractive
blacks 1550.00-1800.00, 1st stage 1145-1265 lbs 1100.00-1300.00; short and
solid mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage 1130-1365 lbs most 900.00-1140.00, pkg.
blacks 3rd stage 1190.00. Large 1-2  4 yrs to broken mouth 2nd and 3rd stage
1400-1590 lbs 1290.00-1435.00. Medium and Large 2  5 yrs to short and solid
mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 900-1100 lbs 875.00-1000.00. Medium 1-2  2 yrs to
short and solid mouth 2nd and 3rd stage 895-1035 lbs 1000.00-1250.00; broken
mouth 2nd and 3rd stage couple 940-945 lbs 750.00-945.00 per head.

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yr 1150 lb cow w/245 lb calf
1775.00, couple 4-7 yrs 1125-1295 lb cows w/babies to 180 lb calves 1350.00-1400.00; 6 yrs to broken mouth pkg. 1100 lb cows w/170 lb calves and some
rebred 1350.00 per pair.
