Clyde L. Stoneking, age 69, of Monett, Mo., passed from this life to his eternal home on Monday morning, Aug. 12, 2013, while at Cox-Monett Hospital.
|Clyde was born on Oct. 14, 1943, in Torrington, Wyo., the son of the late Elmer and Ruby (Frasier) Stoneking. Clyde grew up in Casper, Wyo., and graduated with the Class of 1962 from the Natrona County High School in Casper. He had worked for Pepsi-Cola as a route driver and route salesman and then for AmCon Distributing while in Casper. After moving to Monett in 1996, he had worked for Tyson Foods as a quality assurance technician. Clyde was an active member of the First Christian Church in Monett, where he also served as deacon. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and hunting elk in the Teton Mountains.|
|On June 1, 1967, Clyde and Velma Campbell were united in marriage in Casper. They were blessed with over 45 years together. Clyde is survived by his wife, Velma, of the home; three daughters, Laura Funk, and husband Jon, of Monett, Vicki Muckley, and husband, Jeff, of Casper and Michelle Weir, and companion, Manuel Moreno, of Casper; five brothers, Jim Stoneking, of Mills, Wyo., Burt Stoneking, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Wayne Stoneking, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Orvie Stoneking, of Glen Rock, Wyo. and Roger Stoneking and wife, Eileen, of Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Sylvia Raver and husband, Jack, of Casper, Wyo. and Lola Stoneking, of Mills, Wyo.; 10 grandchildren, Casey, Justin, Anthony, Zach, Blake, Brooklyn, Hope, Echo, Joshua and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Braxton and Sophia; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.|
Clyde was preceded in death his parents; and by one brother, David Stoneking.
|Funeral services for Mr. Stoneking will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Monett. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. prior to service at the church. Clyde will be laid to rest in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Casper, Wyo.|
A celebration of life service will be held in Casper at a later date.
