He was a 1983 graduate of Rock Port High School and a supervisor at George's Processing in Butterfield, Mo. He loved auctions, woodworking, spending time with family pets and being a grandpa.
J.R. is survived by both his parents, C.L., wife Retha, Lamar, Mo, and Joyce Birmingham, Rock Port, Mo; significant other, Sherry Webster; one daughter, Casey Hollingsworth, husband, Shelby, Cassville, Mo.; three step-sons, Kyle Bowman, Jacket, Mo., Joey Griffith, wife Aundrea, Ozark, Ark. and John Griffith, Coal Hill, Ark.; one step-daughter, Tiffany Bowman, Jacket, Mo; two brothers, Thomas Squires, wife Lisa, Fair Grove, Mo., and David Squires, wife Carla, Gardner, Kan.; three sisters, Penny Heathcock, Tulsa, Okla., Debrah Erickson, husband, Donald, Maryville, Mo., and Carolyn Hut, Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services for J.R. are being held Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett, Mo.
