Ozark Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) Head Start centers in Barry and Lawrence counties will receive a much-needed boost to their funds with an award of $750 from the Barry-Lawrence Area United Fund. The monies will be used to purchase new materials and toys for the classroom and center.
"The funds are very important to each center because it allows them to replace old, broken toys as well as bring in new items that support the educational environment in each center," said Bethany Monier, area supervisor.
The $750 award will be divided among Aurora #1 and #2; Butterfield; Cassville #1 and #2; Monett #1 and #2; Mt. Vernon #1 and #2; and Shell Knob.
