Scott Regional Tech Center hosts Focus on the Future

Scott Regional Technology Center (SRTC) in Monett hosted the eighth annual Focus on the Future on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Focus on the Future is an opportunity for students to interact and network with representatives from business and industry as well as gather information from colleges and technical schools to assist with future decisions.

Over 500 juniors and seniors attended from 14 area high schools in southwest Missouri including: Aurora, Billings, Cassville, Crane, Exeter, Marionville, Miller, Monett, Mt. Vernon, Pierce City, Purdy, Southwest of Washburn, Verona and Wheaton.

Monett Middle School students attended during the morning session. Approximately 186 eighth graders attended.

Businesses, industries, colleges and technical schools represented were: Barry-Lawrence County Ambulance, Clark Industries, Commercial Metals Company, Community National Bank, Cox Monett Hospital, Cox Roofing Company, Eagle Broadcasting, Inc., EFCO, (a Pella Company), First State Bank of Purdy, Huffmaster Insurance, IMEC, International Dehydrated Foods, Inc.
