Two tips led to the apprehension of two juveniles involved in mailbox bashing and sign damage in Lawrence County.
Lawrence County deputies began responding to calls on Tuesday, Jan. 22, reporting numerous mailboxes and metal signs had been damaged during the late hours of Jan. 21 or early morning on Jan. 22.
To date, over 30 mailboxes have been reported or found damaged in the central and northeast areas of the county. The amount of property damage is estimated at $1,500.
Deputies investigated eight criminal cases involving 14 victims. Those cases have been forwarded to the 39th Circuit Juvenile Office for disposition.
According to a statement from Lawrence County Sheriff Brad DeLay, investigation into the matter is ongoing.
