Monett Police Department remains busy during holiday season

Officers with the Monett Police Department responded to 12 collisions involving 24 vehicles.

Two injury wrecks were documented and 23 vehicles were damaged during December 2012.

Officers completed 128 offense reports for the month, 10 of which involved juveniles. Other reports included 63 arrests and 46 general-purpose reports, two of which involved juveniles.

A total of 285 warnings were issued for December 2012, along with 71 moving traffic violations and 43 non-moving issues. A total of 37 ordinance violation notices were also issued.

Animal control reported 15 dogs impounded.

Training activities for the month included emergency vehicle operations, supervisor, data master and Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System re-certifications.

The highest number of offenses included: 19 stray dog complaints, 10 driving while intoxicated, first offense, 10 stealing reports and 28 warrant arrests.

Detectives reported 96 criminal offenses under investigation. Detective Dave Haskins has 11 cases under investigation, Detective George Daoud has three case investigations underway, Detective Jeff Martinson is working 11 open investigations and Lt. Greg Brandsma is working two open investigations.
