Ebenezer Baptist Church will host an Old-Fashioned Day services on Sunday, Jan. 27, beginning with worship at 10 a.m. A dinner will be served following services. A reception for Tony Simmons, the new superintendent for the Verona R-7 School District, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, in the school cafeteria. Refreshments will be served. Simmons begins in the 2013-14 school year.
