The annual Celebration Tea, benefiting the Loaves and Fishes program, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the First United Methodist Church, 1600 N. Central. Table hostesses are needed.

The Ladies Auxiliary for Tom Wolfe Memorial VFW Post #4207 will host a luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16. The menu includes: meat loaf, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, green beans, bread, salad, dessert and beverage for $6.

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Cox Monett Hospital, 801 N. Lincoln, and from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 at the Cedar Hollow Mennonite School, 4694 Farm Road 1185, near Miller.

The Barry County Republican Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday Jan. 22, at the Barry County Museum in Cassville at 6:30 p.m., with the BBQ Station in Cassville, catering the evening meal. Presiding Commissioner Cherry Warren will be the guest speaker, and he will be presenting information regarding the Barry County 2013 upcoming budget and other county issues. Barbara White, Club President would like to extend a warm welcome for all Republicans to attend the informative meeting.

The Barry-Lawrence Ambulance District Board of Directors will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the district office, 307 Dairy St. Memorandums of understanding with first responders will be discussed.

The Barry County Soils and Crops Conference will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Butterfield Community Center. A dinner will be served prior to the presentations. For more information, contact Ton Rickard at the University Extension office in Cassville, 417-847-3161.

The Mt. Pleasant Benefit Special Road District commissioners will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the Freistatt Fire Station.

The Southern Missouri Beekeepers of Monett will hold their regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the First United Methodist Church, 1600 N. Central. Steve Ostertag will speak on the Top Bar hive. Robert Sperandio and Leon Riggs will give a talk on the Langstroth hive. Anyone interested in beekeeping is welcome. Community members interested in the new performing arts center at Monett High School are welcome to attend a planning meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, in room 150 at Monett High School. Please call the central office at 235-7422 to make arrangements.

The Monett Special Road District commissioners have moved their monthly meeting to Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. at Monett City Hall.

A presentation of drawing with pastels will be presented by Becky Golubski, president of the Pierce City Arts County, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Mt.
