Ardith E. Davis, age 75, of Monett, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 while at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Ardith was born on Oct. 21, 1937 in Freeport, Ill., daughter of Myron Meinzer and Marena (Otte) Meinzer.
Ardith graduated from Freeport High School in 1955 and had later worked for Economy Insurance Company for over 20 years as an underwriter, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Monett.
Preceding Ardith in death were her parents, Myron and Marena Meinzer; and one nephew, Keith Winters. Ardith is survived by her son, Richard Kenyon, and his wife, Jackie, of Texarkana, Ark.; one sister, Marilyn Winters, of Freeport, Ill.; two step-grandchildren, Autumn and Jimmy McAnally, of Monett and Clinton and Sarah Cunningham, of Miami, Okla.; six step-great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; and a host of extended family and friends that will dearly miss her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Reverend John Nipper officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
