A two-vehicle collision on Jan. 3 at Cleveland Avenue and Chapell Drive in Monett resulted in no injuries.

According to the Monett Police Department, the collision took place at 4:16 p.m. Marilyn Yvonne Bell, of rural Monett, who was driving north on Chapell Drive in a 2011 Honda CR-V, failed to stop at a steady red light and pulled into the intersection, colliding with a 2008 Nissan Altima, driven west on Cleveland by Amy Nichole Allen, of Nixa.

The collision propelled the Altima into the ditch on the north side of the intersection, shown above. Neither Bell nor Allen and her three passengers were injured.

Air bags deployed on both vehicles.

Police, Monett firefighters and the Barry-Lawrence Ambulance service responded to the scene
